Who publishes this site and what it measures

Naira Twin Rate is an independent editorial desk. It measures one thing: the gap between Nigeria’s official dollar rate and the street rate. This page explains what the site collects, what it links to, and how to reach the desk with a correction or a question.

What this site measures

The desk republishes two named rates from public sources, with the date and hour each was read. The official rate is the Central Bank of Nigeria’s volume-weighted NFEM rate for the latest trading day. The street rate is the Lagos sell and buy average of dealer quotes posted by users. The gap is the street sell rate over the official rate. Each figure links to its publisher, so a reader can check it at the source. The desk does not add a forecast, a recommendation, or a blended rate of its own. It states what the sources state, at the time stated, and nothing more.

What the site does not collect

This site runs without accounts, login, newsletter, or comment form. It sets no cookie of its own, runs no analytics, and stores nothing in the reader’s browser. The pages are served by a hosting provider which, like any web host, keeps its own technical request logs. The publisher does not read a reader’s personal data out of those logs. There is no sign-up and no tracking. A reader can open the page, read the figures, and leave no trace with this desk. The only record of a visit is the routine log kept by the host for every site on the internet.

How the desk earns

The site links to one broker, FxPro, through an affiliate link. If a reader follows that link and opens an account, the broker pays this site a commission. The reader pays nothing to this site and nothing extra at the broker. That commission is the desk’s only income from the pages. It does not sell data, run ads, or take payment for listing a rate. The affiliate relationship is stated here and on the terms page, in the same plain language. The figures in the tables are not altered to favour the broker, and the broker does not see or influence the desk’s work.

Reaching the desk and what is worth writing about

Writing to editor@nairatwinrateng.pages.dev reaches the desk. Corrections are the reason the address exists. If a figure is wrong, the desk corrects it and dates the correction. A reader can also write about a source that has changed, a link that no longer works, or a discrepancy between the table and the named publisher. The desk cannot answer questions about whether to buy or sell dollars, or what the rate will do next. Nothing on this site is investment advice, a recommendation, or an offer. The figures describe what things cost, not what a reader should do.
